I’m a long time Project Runway fan. I’ve watched every episode of every season. Actually I shouldn’t make such crazy statements in case there are any fact checkers reading my blog. So I’ll say instead I’ve watched nearly every episode of Project Runway. One of my favorites was just a few weeks ago when they used Hallmark cards for the unconventional challenge. I mean, come on, paper AND Project Runway. I love when two worlds collide!
This past weekend Papertrey Ink hosted a Project Runway inspired stamp weekend. While my kids were busy fighting over the remote and the last bit of popcorn Sunday night , I escaped to my office and made a few cards.
The first is for the Runway Inpired Challenge. I chose to work from this pretty dress:
And here is the card I came up with.
I embossed some rose and leaf stamps in white and then water colored them to give them a soft color. And wow-look at that gold shine!
The second challenge I did was the Patterns (Sketch) Challenge. I used sketch 7 turned on it’s side:
This was a quick simple card made again with water colored roses and a card from one of the latest Heidi Swapp Project Life kits.
I used a tiny attacher to attach the transparent card to the card base.
Thanks for a fun night Papertrey!
