Heidi Swapp Minc Card

These cards started a week ago and finally got finished up yesterday. It seems my crafting time comes in 10 minute spurts lately. It’s the last few weeks of school here, which means everyday is a party requiring treats and costumes and presentations. All the projects have to be finished up too, which means epic homework and every mother knows that kid homework is parent homework.  That and I’ve been totally distracted by Call the Midwife. (Okay-went to get the link and discovered Call The Midwife paper dolls-how cute!)

The background on these cards were created by adding stripes of Gelatos to the card base and then misting with water and smudging with my finger. Have you tried Gelatos? I’m a complete beginner with them and always looking for new ideas, share links with me if you have them? After the Gelatos dried, I brushed a layer of gesso over the top to tone down the colors.

From that point I winged it  just a bit (get it) and added some butterflies and a floral scroll. I had some scraps of Heidi Swapp Minc papers and some leftover sentiment tags from a Pazzles project. Because the sentiment tags were printed on a laser printer I could run them through my Heidi Swapp Minc Machineand add a little foil shine. Heidi Swapp Minc Cards by @bandppaperlab

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a happy last week of school.
