You can never have too many flower options in my book, so of course a flower cut file is in order that you can resize and cut again and again. Buy it once and use it hundreds of times! I’ve added these Lace Blossom flower cut files to my Etsy shop this week.
I took those lace blossom cut files and made some pretty cards. I dressed up my die cuts with a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine watercolor. I love the shimmery shine of the Color Shine and the coloring is a subtle but beautiful way to embellish a die cut.
I used this same technique on my free mom shaped card, although this time I chose to go a bit lighter for a subtle color change. I spritzed some color shine on a piece of plastic and then used a waterbrush to spread the color on the flower. I started on one side and squeezed my brush to release more water, the farther I got from the starting point.
Try this technique next time you need a little color and shimmer on a die cut. Plus I love that I can make my die cut match whatever paper I want to use.
