After careful consideration (like 3 minutes worth), I ordered the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine. It arrived a few weeks ago and I’ve determined that my life is pretty much complete now! The Minc is a foiling machine and you can run papers through it for a shimmery shine.
It’s so hard to capture the shimmer of the foiling in a photo, but the backgrounds of these cards shine like the top of the Chrysler building (just watched Annie!) It’s beautiful. The background papers come plain and you can select your color of foil and customize them. As you can see I have several colors of foil.
These cards were a several step/several night process, although that was mostly because I have 40 million distractions in my life. I downloaded this free Laurel flower clipart from Angie Makes and used my Pazzles Vue to do Print and Cut and get a nice clean cut around each flower. While I was watching TV one night I used my shimmer watercolors to color the flowers. The next night I used the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to foil the backgrounds and then put them all together.
I suppose these cards were brought to you by craft technology, as I used a digital file, printer, electronic die cutting machine and a foil applicator to make them.
But I love them. And I wish you could see them in real life so you could see the way they sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by. Best wishes for a crafty week!
