Gold Dipped Hearts

I’m seeing lots of gold dipped home décor showing up on Pinterest and lots of gold foil in the CHA (Craft & Hobby Show) sneak peaks. I decided to take the trend to some cards earlier this week on the Pazzles blog and then today and I made a few more tags with the leftover hearts. If you’ve never heat embossed before, give it a try. I inked the bottom half of some hearts with pigment ink (Versamark) and then dipped the hearts in some gold embossing powder, before using my embossing gun to melt them. This would be a cool technique to try on a page title as well. Gold Dipped Hearts

I did a little stitching and some stamping on a tag and added the gold dipped hearts for a quick and cute valentine tag. I’ll have to wait until February 13 to buy some chocolates to attach these tags too. Holiday chocolate mysteriously disappears in my house if it’s bought too far in advance ! It’s a serious household affliction.

I love these projects, such a great way to enrich those die cutting shapes.
